Some of the musicians of Rytmy went on playing - 1977 / 1985 - in a vocal and instrumental band called
TAKT
The group TAKT ("Bar", as in a bar of music) was active in Kraków from 1977 for
almost eight years. It was made up mostly of musicians who had started playing in 1965 in the bands
Nie to Co My and
Rytmy. It played
mainly at private events. For some time it was under the patronage
of the Kraków Cable Works - KABEL. It also took part in bigger performances, for example
at the great festival of the highlanders of Zaolzie - then still in Czechoslovakia - in Jabłonków (photo 5).
The covers performed by the band (in those days called "numbers" or "pieces") were exceptionally carefully
arranged and played. The musicians often wrote their own lyrics
to Western songs. The group was very highly rated by its listeners.
Several performances were recorded, but unfortunately the tapes have been lost.
Each member of the band played at least two instruments, and
all of them sang - and very much in tune.
