Remembering Staszek Wardęga - ( RYTMY -1965 )

       .... Much time has passed and many things have happened, each carrying a small part of something, and in that small part there is the memory of an excellent musician and guitarist, Staszek Wardęga , who, on the wave of the youth music movement of the 1960s, made his name as a member of the excellent Kraków band RYTMY , founded by Bogusław Dmochowski.

      Stasiu was a very modest and talented man. For us / for him the 1960s were a relatively carefree time, but everything comes to an end one day..
       In 1971 he started a family and gave up playing. Tuning pianos became his profession - he was a piano tuner. He had something that was a great asset in that profession - perfect pitch. His talent and musical ability were then noticed and appreciated.

       For many years he tuned pianos in the music schools of Kraków, at the Kraków Philharmonic and at the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, where operas and operettas were staged at the time.

       Stasiu passed away in 1998. After his death several of his pictures were found, painted in oils, showing landscapes and still lifes. After music, painting had become his quiet passion.

       His music is a beautiful contribution to the musical 1960s in Kraków..
