A band active in 1965-1966, based at Secondary School No. XII in Nowa Huta. The band's manager was Mr Rozmus, the PW (military training) teacher, who supported the youth fashion and music of the day.
The equipment available was modest (drums, a rhythm and a bass guitar, 1 microphone and one 35-watt amplifier).
The band's members met at a school PW camp near Nowy Sącz, and that is how the music-making began. The band took the name TERMITIERY ("The Termite Mounds").
It played mainly at dances at School No. XII and at school, city and state celebrations. The repertoire was mostly covers of The Byrds, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Troggs, the Carpenters etc., with Polish lyrics. The Polish lyrics were written by Paweł Socha and Jurek Skotnicki. The lyrics to "For Your Love" by The Yardbirds were written by Janusz Satała. Besides the band, the photo also shows its fans.
