The band Rubiny ("The Rubies") was formed in 1967. It found a home at the WSS SPOŁEM cooperative at ul. Kotlarska 34 in Kraków.
The first line-up consisted of: Wacław Kałuża - git,voc; Jan Szuba - git,voc; Leszek Podstawka - git,voc; Wojtek Mucha - gb; Ryszard Krakuć - dr. A little later they were joined by Janusz Śliwa - voc.
      The band performed mainly in Kraków clubs and houses of culture. After a few months of working together there was a reorganisation and the band then consisted of: Mieczysław Grąbka - voc; Paweł Ścierański -git, Janusz Filiciak - git,voc; Leszek Podstawka - git,voc; Janusz Piskorz -gb,voc and Piotr Zygadło - dr.
      In this line-up the band began playing regularly at dance evenings at "Wander's" - the club of the Kraków Pharmaceutical Works "Polfa" on ul. Mogilska.
      After a short period of working together there was another change of line-up. Rubiny then consisted of: Paweł Ścierański - git; Leszek Podstawka -gb; Piotr Zygadło - dr and Zbigniew Karczmiarz - voc; and this was the band's last line-up.
In 1969 the band Rubiny ended its activity for good.
