The band DUCHY ("The Ghosts") was formed in the autumn of 1963, on the initiative of, among others, Aleksander Glik.
Like many other bands with this instrumental line-up, it played mainly the music of The Shadows, The Ventures, covers of Western artists, songs by Cliff Richard and by Polish artists.
Concerts took place in Kraków: at the "Pod Jaszczurami" club, in the hall of the Geological Enterprise on al. Inwalidów, and at a student rally in Rejów near Skarżysko-Kamienna for the 20th anniversary of the Polish People's Republic (PRL), from where the band went on to Warsaw to play at Krąg Czerniakowski with Alibabki and other performers - on the very day of the 20th anniversary of the PRL.
The band was proposed to provide the music for the event by the chairman of the Polish Students' Association (ZSP) Zbigniew Regucki and Mieczysław Czuma. In the summer (July - August) of 1964 the band played every day at "Akwarium" in Zarabie near Myślenice. At the same time the band Czarne Koty was playing at the "Pod Blachą" restaurant, not yet connected with the Lenin Steelworks House of Culture (ZDK) - that came later.
Duchy - in the line-up below - were active until the spring of 1965.

In 1965 the band "Duchy" was revived and, in the line-up below, existed for about a year.
The band played at various occasional events, at "studniówka" balls (held a hundred days before school-leaving exams) and school graduation parties, in Kraków and beyond - at the Brzeszcze coal mine and at the house of culture in Pionki.
It played music similar to that of the previous line-up, and this is where the first compositions by Janek Wojdak appeared.
